Policy in Practice was established to connect policymakers with those responsible for the delivery of policies on the ground. We do this in three ways:
- Advice: A two-way communication between policy makers and practitioners to ensure policies are well designed and implemented effectively. We help clients communicate concerns about the delivery of policy, ensuring they are hear by those at the top.
- Tools and Technology: We combine deep policy and customer insight with technology expertise to quickly create tools that make understanding and delivering policy easier – use the Universal Credit Calculator to see a working example.
- Analysis: Combining narrative with numbers is a compelling way to make an argument, however, clients often struggle with the latter. We help clients to measure / estimate the impact of a policy across a population to ensure that problems get the attention and resources that they deserve.
Our aim is to ensure that ultimately it is clients, customers and service users voices are heard, and their lives made easier through the effective implementation of sensible policy.
